Project Overview

Incorp Industries has been selected as a key subcontractor by Thompson Construction for a major environmental project initiated by Santee Cooper. This project, with an estimated budget of $300 million, focuses on the installation of new wastewater treatment systems to enhance environmental protections at the Cross and Winyah Generating Stations. These upgrades are essential for ensuring compliance with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations.

Objective

The primary objective of Incorp Industries in this project is to leverage our expertise in large-scale siding, insulation, and specialty coatings to support the enhancement of wastewater treatment systems at both generating stations, thereby contributing to the overall environmental compliance goals of Santee Cooper.

Application

Incorp Industries was chosen for this project due to our proven track record in handling complex industrial projects. Our scope of work includes:

Siding: Installation of all siding for the new Winyah Wastewater Treatment building.
Sandblasting and Painting: Sandblasting and painting of the massive tank farms using Ceilcote 380 primer and Ceilcoat 242 Flakeline finish.
Specialty Coatings: Application of specialty coatings for all trenches and sump basins with Ceilcote 6640.
Freeze Protection Insulation: Installation of freeze protection insulation for all necessary piping using fiberglass pipe cover jackets with .016 aluminum.

Result

Incorp Industries is playing a crucial role in the installation of state-of-the-art wastewater treatment systems at the Cross and Winyah Generating Stations. Construction began in early 2024 and is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2025, with the systems fully operational by December 31, 2025. Our contributions ensure that these systems meet stringent EPA standards, showcasing our commitment to environmental sustainability and regulatory compliance.
