Project Overview

Incorp Industries was selected to provide insulation demolition and installation services for the Sylvamo Hydrogate Replacement Project during a planned outage at Sylvamo’s Eastover paper manufacturing facility. As a recognized leader in outage work for power generation and industrial projects, Incorp will support critical modifications to boiler-related systems requiring insulation removal, replacement, and new installation.

Objective

To support hydrogate replacement activities, Incorp will remove existing insulation systems and install new heat conservation insulation across multiple boiler and utility components. The scope will include insulation removal and replacement on sifting hoppers, stoker fronts, rear walls, boiler side walls, under-grate air ducts, cooling water piping, and associated new piping required as part of the project.

The completed insulation systems will support heat conservation and long-term thermal performance for key boiler and utility components.

Application

Execution is planned during the June outage window and will require coordination across multiple work areas to facilitate equipment modifications and installation activities. Scaffold access will be utilized to provide access to the sifting hoppers while demolition and replacement activities progress throughout the outage.

Insulation systems include 6-inch mineral wool with .040 aluminum lagging on designated equipment and 2-inch mineral wool insulation jacketed with .020 stucco embossed aluminum on piping systems. These materials are specified to provide heat conservation, durability, and long-term thermal performance in demanding operating environments.

Result


As of the latest project milestone, Incorp is preparing to execute insulation demolition and installation activities.
The work will support hydrogate modifications to key boiler and utility systems while helping maintain heat conservation performance following completion of the project.
